HISTORY BY MADAME ANGELINE HENZEN
The NGO AFRIQUE SOLIDARITE SUISSE is the fruit of a combination of circumstances and events that have occurred around me. Coming from a low-income family, I lived with poor and very poor people. I lost close family members to HIV / AIDS and other diseases related to their poverty. I found myself surrounded by orphans.
All these situations had an effect of electroshock in me. Thus, in 1998, I started to help an orphanage in Yaounde. Then in 2001, in collaboration with my Christian community, I continued in other orphanages, the poorest schools and leprosaria.
Once permanently settled in Switzerland, I have not forgotten who I am or where I come from, I have not forgotten that there are people who suffer there and who still need help. After a difficult period of adaptation, I told myself that it was time for me to resume the fight against poverty and misery.
So I appealed to people sensitive to these situations so that together we can continue this fight, hence the birth of the NGO AFRIQUE SOLIDARITE SUISSE in May 2005.
